Neon Genesis Evangelion "Rei, Beyond the Heart" Eva Unit 00 Production Cel (Gainax, c. 1995-96). "We have lost control of Unit 00!" "Abort the test! Cut the power feed!" During a revealing flashback sequence, Rei Ayanami sustains serious injuries when Unit 00 goes berserk during a systems test at NERV headquarters. Seen at the 2:52 mark of the episode "Rei, Beyond the Heart," this is a terrific hand-painted original production cel featuring a rare image of Unit 00 in its original orange colorization before the switch to blue. The image measures a substantial 8.5" x 7.5" on the 12 field cel. Numbered B13 in the upper right corner, the cel shows minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.
